Whitehead Street Wetlands Open Day

Our students and members of the Corowa Community braved the wet weather on the evening of Monday December 4 to celebrate the completion of stage 1 of the Whitehead Street, Corowa Wetlands Project.  Visitors were entertained by a history of the site and speeches by Rotary and Federation Council representatives.  The official proceedings included the opening of the bird hide and launch of the Sloane's Froglet song, sung by the Corowa South students and written by Alex Knight.  Mr Geoff Wright, a professional musician, accompanied our students as they sang. Our students sang a rousing rendition of the song enjoyed by everyone.  Rotary then provided a scrumptious BBQ and cool refreshments.

Congratulations to our parents and students who supported the event and braved the inclement conditions.  It was well worth the effort!
