About our school

Corowa South Public School is a small school located on the banks of the Murray River, approximately 65km west of Albury. It has been providing quality education in Corowa South since 1898.

The school culture is collaborative and supportive. It maintains a strong partnership with parents and their community through an active Parents and Citizens Committee.

There is a focus on a whole school integrated approach to developing students as independent, self-directed learners. Curriculum emphasis is around strong foundations in literacy and numeracy, formative assessment, learning progressions and collaboration.

Our teaching and learning culture is focused on growing all students to be life-long learners. Teachers are committed on improving our school-wide practices. Students’ learning growth is measured and supported by the ongoing collection of evidence that informs a targeted and personalised learning approach for each child. We embed strong wellbeing practices to ensure students become successful learners, confident and creative individuals, and active informed citizens.

Corowa South Public School is a proud member of the Bangerang Learning Community. We as a school community are very proud of our school and our commitment to excellence through ‘friendship and learning’.
