On Tuesday 6th September 2011, Corowa South Public School WON the "NSW Landcare Education Award" sponsored by Westpac.
Corowa South won the award from:
Neville P.S - Highly Commended in 2011 and Winner in 2010
Westport Environmental Team (Westport High School in Port Macquarie)
Georgia Backhouse, Bronte Jordon, Zoe Downing and Becky Bruce presented an outline of our "Building a Bird Attracting Garden", the Diamond Firetail Project, to an audience of experienced and passionate Landcarers.
Corowa South won the "Westpac Landcare Education Award" because of the projects unique biodiversity, and the number of budding partnerships developing within the Diamond Firetail Garden.
